My Story

I’m Owen Comiskey, a photographer, filmmaker, and editor with six years of creative experience. What started as cutting and splicing Fortnite videos back in 2019 has grown into a passion for telling stories through both photography and film.

As a Division I athlete and marketing major at Providence College, I bring a unique perspective to my work—combining an insider’s understanding of sport with a strategic, creative eye. I’ve had the opportunity to work in sports marketing with TRACS, Inc. and continue to build my portfolio across photography, videography, and media editing.

For me, this work is about more than capturing moments—it’s about shaping them into stories that resonate, whether it’s through a still image, a highlight reel, or a full creative campaign.

Emerging Elites Summer 2025: Full-Circle

One of my favorite projects was covering the Emerging Elites 2025 summer program, an 8-week training series for middle and high school athletes. Much of my role was focused on digital content creation, capturing practices twice per week, curating photo collections, and producing weekly graphics and recap videos. By the end of the summer, I had published nearly 3,000 photos and created video content that collectively reached well into six figures in views, highlighting not just the workouts but also the personalities and energy that define the program.

I launched a lighthearted interview series called Fast Takes, where athletes answered rapid-fire running related questions using a custom baton microphone. The series quickly became a favorite among athletes and even drew engagement from larger creators in the running community. Alongside that, I produced race previews, special graphics, and a weekly Throwback Thursday series that tied past program highlights into the current season.

As a former Emerging Elites athlete myself and now a Division I runner, the methods and philosophy the program taught me have stuck with me far beyond training. Getting to return on the other side of the program, creating content while supporting the next generation of athletes, was incredibly rewarding. It was not just about documenting practices, but about passing along a culture that shaped me and continues to influence how I approach both athletics and life.
